"A few bishops have said Biden should not receive Holy Communion.

But Bishop W. Francis Malooly of Wilmington, Del., Biden's home diocese, said the Democrat had called him in September, the night before Malooly was installed as bishop.

Malooly said the two agreed they would meet when scheduling allows to discuss Catholic teaching. The bishop said he did not advise Biden to refrain from Communion.

"I won't politicize the Eucharist," Malooly said. "I don't want to alienate people. I want to change their hearts and minds."

As a Catholic, I find this sickening and disturbing.

What is wrong with these Bishops?

Point one: It's a mortal sin to support abortion, for any reason at any time at all. Period, close the book.

Point 2: You cannot recieve the Eucarist while you are in mortal sin. Period, close the book, you MUST repent, go to confession and do your penance. THEN you can have communion.

But apparently Malooly missed that point. Perhaps he was absent that day on Bishop 101 class.

My question is, why should the church "bend" the rules to fit the new ideology? Why is that right?

Why should we shape God, and his laws and change them to suit our own warped society?

That is what is going on here....

Read more Extreme right propaganda here.

Let us be Catholic, or let us NOT be Catholic, but let the pretend Catholics go join some other church that conforms to their new ideology that is based on our new Obamanation.

No name calling or profanity! Discuss the topic, but do not be rude. Remember that we have an obligation of Christian charity.

We try to explain our views in a compassionate and gentle way, because we must remember that we all have good hearts, and that the other side for the most part, has the best of intentions.

One nasty remark and you're out!
